4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

We will pick you up from your hotel to start your 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga with an unforgettable drive from Marrakech to Dades Gorges across the High Atlas Mountains. Ascend through the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and see beautiful villages suspended on the flanks of the mountains.

Proceed to Ouarzazate through the implacable stone desert to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the well-known film studios. After lunch, enjoy your drive through the Dades Valley along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the fascinating town of Skoura and on to Kelaat M’Gouna, famous for its roses. Arrive in Boumalne Dades, enjoy dinner, and settle in for the night.

Begin your day with a drive through the changing landscapes toward the Merzouga dunes. Cross the Tinghir Oasis and wander through the lush palm groves en route to the stunning Todra Gorges, where limestone cliffs tower 320 meters above the riverbed.

After a leisurely exploration of the gorges and palm groves, continue to Tinjdad and Erfoud, passing by their extensive palm groves. Arrive at the Merzouga desert and embark on a camel ride through the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, pausing to watch a mesmerizing sunset.

Spend the night under the stars in nomadic tents, enjoying a delicious dinner and a lively music party with Berber drums. This will undoubtedly be a highlight of your Moroccan adventure.

Rise early to witness a stunning sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and freshening up, depart towards the Tafilalet palm grove and the historic town of Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite Dynasty.

Explore Rissani before continuing to Alnif, where you’ll traverse the Jbel Saghro Anti-Atlas chain. Admire the unique, greyish-black mountains as you proceed to the Berber villages of Tazzarine and N’kob, and drive through the lush Draa Valley with its stately palm trees.

In the late afternoon, journey to Ouarzazate via the Tizi N’Tniffift Pass through the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Spend the night in a traditional riad or kasbah in Ouarzazate.

Depart Ouarzazate in the morning and visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive and well-preserved fortress featured in numerous films such as “The Mummy,” “Gladiator,” and “Babel.”

Continue your journey across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco (2,260 m), offering spectacular views of valleys, mountains, and nearby Berber villages. Arrive back in Marrakech in the evening, concluding your unforgettable 4-day adventure.
