After a delicious breakfast at the riad, start your tour in the new part of the city, visiting the Royal Palace and the Jewish quarter (Mellah). Head to a viewpoint to see the medina from the south tower and some of the mosques. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed medina on foot, navigating its labyrinthine streets and experiencing its medieval charm. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
After breakfast, visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site with spectacular mosaics. Continue to Meknes, known for its impressive history and architecture, and then travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. In Rabat, visit landmarks like Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of Oudaias. Dinner and overnight in Rabat.
In the morning, visit the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, the largest mosque in Morocco. After exploring the mosque, head to Marrakech. Upon arrival, explore Jemaa el Fna, the lively square and marketplace in the old medina, known for its entertainment and cultural significance. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
Enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, visiting the Koutoubia Mosque, the old medina, traditional souks, the Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens. Dinner and overnight in a beautiful riad.
Leave Marrakech for the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Visit the Telouet Kasbah and then continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, drive to Ouarzazate and then to the Skoura palm grove. Continue through the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley to the Todra Gorges, enjoying the stunning rock formations and panoramic views of old Berber villages. Continue to Erfoud and Rissani, then head to Merzouga. Enjoy a warm welcome with mint tea and spend the night in a hotel/riad.
Explore the Merzouga desert, visiting the seasonal Lake Sirji and the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy traditional music. Visit the Meffes Mines and have tea with Berber nomads. In the evening, take a camel trek to explore the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a Berber tent.
After a camel ride and breakfast, leave for Rissani, Erfoud, and the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves. Pass through the Tizi n’Talghomt pass and stop in Midelt for lunch. Continue to the cedar forest near Azrou to see Barbary apes, then pass through Ifrane, known as “Moroccan Switzerland,” before arriving in Fes. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
After breakfast, your driver will take you to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your 10 days tour from Fes to the Imperial Cities and Merzouga Desert.
