After breakfast, we will start our journey from Marrakech to Zagora Desert. Heading south, we will pass through the village of Ait Ourir, climbing up to the 2,260-meter Tizi-N-Tichka pass. The road offers stunning views and small hamlets sustained by waterways.
Our first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village with beautiful crenelated towers. We then continue to Ouarzazate and pass through the Draa Valley, home to numerous small villages along its river.
We will reach Zagora in the late afternoon, where camels await to take us across the dunes. Enjoy a two-hour camel trek and spend the night in nomad tents under the starry desert sky. Dinner and overnight stay at the desert camp mark the end of our first day.
