4 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga

We’ll pick you up from your hotel or riad to begin our 4 days tour from Fes to Merzouga. Our journey heads south to Azrou via Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco.” We will stop in the cedar forests to meet the Barbary apes and capture some memorable photos. Continuing through the scenic Atlas Mountains, we’ll pass through Midelt.

After a delightful lunch, we journey through the picturesque Ziz Valley, reaching Erfoud, Rissani, and finally Merzouga. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing cup of tea and settle in for the night at a local hotel or riad.

After breakfast, we’ll explore the Merzouga area, starting with a visit to a village of black people originally from Mali, where you can enjoy their music and learn about their lifestyle. We then head to the Miffis Mines to understand the local mining operations.

Next, we venture behind the dunes into the full desert for a captivating tea session with local Bedouins. Returning to the hotel for a rest, your guides will provide a brief camel-riding lesson. Then, embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, culminating in an overnight stay in a traditional Berber tent.

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast at the desert hotel, we continue to Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. This area is perfect for hiking or relaxing by the river while sampling local Berber delicacies.

Following lunch in the gorge, we drive through the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night in a charming hotel perched on the mountain top, offering spectacular views.

After a delicious local breakfast, we begin our return journey to Fes. From Todgha valley, we pass through beautiful palm groves and follow the Ziz Valley. We’ll stop at a panoramic spot for tea, enjoying the breathtaking views.

As we travel north, the surrounding mountains offer glimpses of nomadic settlements. After lunch, we continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and forests. There will be an opportunity to feed the Barbary monkeys in the cedar trees and a coffee stop in the alpine town of Ifrane before arriving back in Fes, where our unforgettable 4 days tour from Fes to Merzouga concludes.
