Itinerary

Begin your journey with a pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. We head towards the historic kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass (2,260 m). Visit the famous kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue to Ouarzazate, where we’ll stop for photos at the Atlas Film Studios and admire the Taourirt Kasbah. Proceed to Kalaa M’gouna and Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay at a local hotel.

After breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley towards Tinghir, stopping for a panoramic view of the valley. Continue to the stunning Todra Gorges, where you can enjoy a walk through the narrow canyon.

In the afternoon, head to Erfoud, known for its fossil industries, and then to the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Embark on a camel trek to watch the sunset over the dunes, followed by an overnight stay in a traditional nomadic tent. Enjoy a delicious dinner and entertainment around the campfire with Berber drums.

Wake up early to witness amazing sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel and explore the Erg Chebbi dunes and nearby villages. Visit Kamilia Village, home to residents originally from Mali, and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while listening to traditional Gnawa music.

Continue to Mefis, an abandoned village with historical mines from the French colonial era. Meet a nomad family living in tents and learn about their lifestyle. Return to your accommodation in Merzouga for free time to explore the town or nearby dunes. Dinner and overnight at a local hotel.

After breakfast, depart towards Fes, passing through the Tafilalet palm grove, the largest in Morocco. Stop to admire the Ziz Valley from a high viewpoint and continue to Midelt for lunch and a rest break.

In the afternoon, drive through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you may spot Barbary Apes. Visit the charming city of Ifrane, known as “Moroccan Switzerland” for its clean streets, gardens, and European-style architecture.
