Begin your 4 days tour from Casablanca with visit, Morocco economic capital. Visit the exterior of the Hassan II Great Mosque, one of the Islamic world’s greatest monuments, followed by a short walk along the corniche. Depending on the time, visit additional attractions in Casablanca.
Depart for Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. Visit the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. In the late afternoon, travel to Fes, with a stop in Meknes to see Bab Mansour, founded in the 17th century by Moulay Ismail and known as “the Moroccan Versailles.” Continue to Fes and check into your hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Ifrane, known as the Moroccan “Swiss-style” town. Continue to Azrou, stopping at the cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you can see Barbary Apes. After lunch in Midelt, travel towards Merzouga, stopping for a panoramic view of Ziz Valley. Arrive in the Merzouga Sahara Desert in the late afternoon and start your camel trek to explore the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Spend the night at a desert camp, enjoying dinner, music, and song by the Berber people.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise, then have breakfast at the camp and take a shower. Drive to Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch, travel toward the Dades Valley and drive through the Dades Gorge, where you will see majestic castles and amazing rock formations. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in the Dades Valley.
After breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate, taking the route known as the “way of the thousand Kasbahs,” providing many photo opportunities. Stop at Kalaat Mgouna, the “Pink City” or city of roses, before reaching Ouarzazate. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios, then continue to Marrakech via the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified kasbah built in the 18th century by El Glaoui, one of the last Berber leaders.
After visiting the Kasbah, continue through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Drop off at your hotel in Marrakech, marking the end of your 4-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.
