Itinerary

Start your 7 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech with a pick-up from the airport or port in Tangier. Drive through the Rif Mountains and Tetouan city to reach Chefchaouen, the enchanting blue city. Overnight stay in a riad or hotel.

After breakfast in the riad, journey to Volubilis via Ouazzane and other Rif villages. Explore the well-preserved Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history. Continue to Meknes, a 17th-century heritage city, for lunch and a tour of its historical sites, including Bab El Mansour and the Moulay Ismail tomb. Proceed to Fes for an overnight stay.

Explore the medina of Fes city with a local guide. Visit the famous souks, ancient mosques, green-glazed minarets, and Andalusian architecture. See cultural and historical sites, including Al Qaraouine University, the tanneries, and the ceramic cooperative. Overnight in a hotel or riad.

Depart from Fes and travel south to Azrou via Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Stop in the cedar forest to photograph Barbarian apes. Continue through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the Midelt landscapes. After lunch, travel through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud and Rissani, arriving in Merzouga. Overnight stay in a local hotel.

Explore the Merzouga area, visiting the village of black people originally from Mali to enjoy their music and lifestyle. Visit the Mifis mines and have tea with local Bedouins in the desert. Return to the hotel, then embark on a camel trek to a Berber camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes. Overnight in a Berber tent.

Wake up early for sunrise over the sand dunes of Merzouga. After breakfast and a camel ride back to the hotel, continue to Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Enjoy hiking and lunch in the gorge. Travel through the Dades Valley and spend the night in a hotel on the mountain.

After breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley to Kalaa M’gouna (the city of roses) and Ouarzazate. Take photos along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Visit the Atlas movie studio in Ouarzazate, then proceed to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, cross the High Atlas Mountains with panoramic views and Berber villages en route to Marrakech, where the 7 days tour from Tangier concludes.
